Ceroc Music

One of the best things about dancing Ceroc is the music. It's the most flexible and versatile partner dance style around, and can be danced to literally almost any popular music, including the latest chart and dance hits, R&B, house, jazz, swing, rock 'n' roll, and blues.

Most commonly, music used for Ceroc is in 4/4 time (4 beats to a bar) and between 100 - 140 beats per minute (BPM). Some of our favourite recent tracks include:

Akon -Could you be the Reason (R&B)
Pussycat Dolls -Hush Hush (Dance)
Enrique Iglesias - Ring My Bells (Dance)
Katy Perry - Waking Up In Vegas (Alt Rock)

But some of our other favourites demonstrate the versatility of Ceroc as a way of enjoying all kinds of music:

Sarah Vaughan - Whatever Lola Wants (Gotan Remix) (House)
Diana Krall - Temptation (Contemporary Blues)
Peggy Lee - Fever (Oldtime Blues)
Eros Ramazotti - Fuoco Nel Fuoco (Latin)
Eva Cassidy - Wade In The Water (Soul/Blues)

In classes, we use a wide range of popular and diverse tunes that have in common that they are all great songs, and fantastic fun to dance to.
